Sylvia Longmire is an award-winning accessible travel writer, filmmaker, and Air Force veteran who has spent more than 20 years traveling the world as a full-time wheelchair user with multiple sclerosis. She has independently explored nearly 60 countries across six continents and produced documentaries, digital travel series, and destination-focused content viewed by millions across social media platforms. As founder of Spin the Globe, she advocates for accessible travel through storytelling rooted in authenticity, logistics expertise, and disability rights. With extensive international experience, media production background, and deep understanding of systemic access barriers, Sylvia directs Breaking the Ice to reveal what inclusion in extreme environments truly requires.

ANTHONY BUZZETTI | Creative Producer
Anthony Buzzetti is a documentary producer and creative consultant with credits on nonfiction and factual media spanning major outlets. His producing work includes Black Market: Dispatches (2016) and Eyewitness WWII: Invasion Italy (2023) on television, and he served as a producer on CNN/Great Big Stories’ first documentary series about the Cicada 3301 internet puzzle. His experience spans documentary storytelling, narrative development, and production strategy across factual platforms. For Breaking the Ice, Anthony will shape story structure, support development and outreach, and assist with broadcast and festival strategy. His attachment is contingent upon a formal hosting partnership with an expedition cruise line.

SHALLON CHAPMAN | Director of Photography
Shallon Chapman is an Emmy Award–winning cinematographer and producer whose credits span documentary series and features for major broadcasters and streamers. Her work includes serving as producer on the marine salvage docuseries Deep Water Salvage (The Weather Channel / Amazon Prime Video) and director of photography on the feature documentaries God Bless Bitcoin, Strength Will Rise, and Walking Dreams. She specializes in filming human stories in challenging environments, from open water operations to emotionally intimate, character-driven narratives. For Breaking the Ice, Shallon will lead visual strategy and camera execution, designing a safety-conscious, cinematic approach to documenting Sylvia’s adaptive expedition to Antarctica.

CRISTIAN CUBILLOS | Assistant Director/Producer
Cris Cubillos Bacigalupo is a Creative Strategist and Media Solutions Leader whose work blends rigorous analysis with human-centered storytelling. With a foundation in engineering and photography, he crafts thoughtful media strategies that highlight inclusive travel and meaningful social impact. As a full-time leader with Wheel the World, Cris directs social video content filmed across the globe, helping audiences see accessibility in action. His experience working across cultures informs a grounded, purpose-driven approach to shifting narratives and expanding mobility for disabled travelers. Cris brings logistical insight, creative direction, and proven storytelling skills that uniquely position him to bridge production needs and accessibility priorities during the expedition.

KATIE SCHROEDER | Line Producer
Katie Schroeder is a veteran television and documentary producer with 15+ years’ experience in reality, travel, unscripted, and conservation programming. She has produced for major network titles including The Real Housewives of New Jersey & New York, Project Runway All Stars, Long Island Medium, House Hunters International, and Eric & Jessie: Game On. Her work includes directing the Emmy Award–winning conservation docu-series Protect Our Paradise. Katie brings deep logistical experience coordinating multi-location shoots worldwide and will oversee budget management, scheduling, and production operations for the Antarctica expedition.
